The native functionality of extras (fees) in WP Hotelier allows you to request a mandatory fee that is automatically calculated per room or per person.

With the Advanced Extras addon, it is possible to make these extras optional so that the user can select them during the booking process (on the listing page or on the room page using the Hotelier AJAX Room Booking widget).

A bottle of champagne, extra towels or breakfast are some of the possible examples.

Also, you can restrict an extra according to certain conditions.

This makes the extra optional.

Selectable quantity?

If enabled, an input will be shown to allow guests to select the quantity to be added. Otherwise, a checkbox will be shown.

Max quantity

Maximum quantity a guest can select.

Minimum nigths

The reservation must have a duration at least equal to the number of nights defined in this option.

Maximum nigths

The reservation must last less than the number of nights defined in this option.

Rooms

The extra will only be available for these rooms. This also applies to mandatory extras.

Excluded rooms

The extra will not be available for these rooms. This also applies to mandatory extras.

Room categories

Same as “Rooms” but for room categories.

Excluded room categories

Advanced Pricing System is an extension that turns WP Hotelier into one of the most advanced booking systems available on the market. The plugin allows you to create unlimited seasons, with advanced configurations and price settings.

Each season is defined by one or more date ranges or one or more months of the year. And by a basic price that is used to calculate the cost of the reservation when there are no season rules applicable.

In each season it is possible to define the minimum and maximum nights of the overnight stay, the days when check-in and check-out are allowed and the minimum number of nights according to the day of arrival.

Custom min ranges and weekly/monthly prices

One of the most important features is the possibility to define a different price according to the number of nights. Using a fixed price per night or increasing/decreasing the base price by value or percentage. Allowing you to offer discounts for longer stays.

You can also set a weekly or monthly price. And force bookings of a full week/month only. The week settings also allow a discount if the booking includes several weeks.

Extra Person fees

Another useful setting is the fee for extra guests. It can be used to add a fee per night for each extra adult or child.

Room rates: how to integrate them?

The operation of the room rates remains unchanged and integrates perfectly with the new system. Very easily, it is now possible to derive the rate from the seasons defined in the room. Increasing/decreasing the price of each night by value or a percentage. Or using a fixed price per night.

To make the system more flexible, the concept of “restriction” has been added.

Thanks to the restrictions it is possible to activate the room rate according to the date of booking and the date of arrival. For example, you can show a rate if there are two days left before check-in (“Last Minute Booking”). Or maybe only if it occurs at least two months before (“Cut-Off”). Or finally, only if no restrictions are active at the moment.

In this way, you can change the price of a room over time, automatically.

Price calculator

When dealing with advanced configurations and many seasons, it is useful to have a debugging tool. For this reason, the “Price calculator” was created, an internal tool that allows you to calculate the price of a room. Useful for testing purposes and to get an overview of your configuration.

Week Bookings is an extension for WP Hotelier that allows checkins and checkouts on specific days only. Let’s say you manage an hotel that allows the checkin and the checkout on Saturdays only. Week Bookings allows that, in a convenient way.

Possible enabled checkin/checkout days are:

• Mondays
• Mondays and Tuesdays
• Tuesdays
• Tuesdays and Wednesdays
• Wednesdays
• Wednesdays and Thursdays
• Thursdays
• Thursdays and Fridays
• Fridays
• Fridays and Saturdays
• Saturdays
• Saturdays and Sundays
• Sundays
• Sundays and Mondays

There’s more. Selecting a complete week schema (for example Saturdays, Sundays, etc) will add a new Week Price option in the room settings and you will be able to set a weekly price.

Please note: the Week Price option is not available when you select a two days schema (for example Saturdays and Sundays). If is that your case, you can still use the Regular, Price per day or Seasonal price options.

This is not a seasonal week price extension! The plugin won’t allow setting a different week’s price per season. This is a global week price.

The Enhanced Calendar extension automatically calculates all the available/unavailable of a particular room and hides the unavailable dates from the calendar. Very useful for the visitors of your website.

Enhance the built-in deposit options and charge a flat deposit rate at the time of booking. WP Hotelier already offers the possibility to require a deposit before to confirm a reservation. But the deposit option included in the core is calculated as percentage of total price of the reservation.

With the Flat Deposit extension for WP Hotelier you will have the possibility to require a fixed price (flat rate) regardless of the booked nights.

Some examples:

• You have a room in your hotel that has a fixed cost of $100.00 per night. You can use the Flat Deposit extension to require a deposit of $50.00 to confirm the reservation, regardless of the number of nights.
• You have a room in your hotel that has a fixed cost of $100.00 per night. And a minimum of 5 nights is required to book a variation or room rate of that room (possible with the Minimum/Maximum Nights extension). You can use the Flat Deposit extension to require a deposit of $100.00 (the price of a single night) to confirm the reservation.

With the iCalendar Importer/Exporter extension you can now import your reservations from popular external services including Airbnb, HomeAway and Google Calendar to your WP Hotelier powered hotel website. This will allow you to automatically keep a room occupancy up to date with an external calendar that supports the .ics format (iCalendar or iCal).

This extension works in two ways: you can import an .ics file from an external service and at the same time export the reservations made at your website. The iCalendar Importer/Exporter plugin will generate automatically an iCal file for each room.

In addition, you can make a complete full sync by canceling reservations that are no longer in the calendars to be imported.

Please note: only future reservations are imported.

This extension includes a convenient way to control which reservations you want to export. You can export only completed reservations (default) or include past reservations. Reservations imported through the iCalendar Importer/Exporter plugin can be excluded from the export.

In addition, thanks to the use of modifiers, you can export or import a reservation by adding/subtracting “xx” days to the dates of the reservation. An essential feature for small hotel managers who need to keep a room occupied to clean the unit(s). Or simply an effective remedy for those external services that add an extra day to the check-out date when they export their calendar (e.g. Google Calendar).

A cron job runs every 15 minutes to import new reservations or every time you click on the “Synchronize now” button available in the room settings. An essential feature that will help you to prevent double bookings.

Sometimes there are scenarios where rooms need to be blocked or held. With the Disable Dates extension for Hotelier you can now stop bookings being made for a certain date. This extension allows you to select one (or more) date range or a single date that need to be blocked. And optionally, you can make it repeat every year.

But there’s more. With this extension you can configure each room individually, overriding the global schema and using custom date ranges for specific rooms.

Some examples:

• Your hotel is closed from January 9th to March 21st. You may use the global schema in this case.
• Your hotel is closed from January 9th to March 21st but you have a special suite that is always open. You may use the global schema to block all the rooms and override the suite schema with a (empty) custom date range.

The Minimum/Maximum Nights plugin for WP Hotelier makes it easy to set the minimum and maximum nights that your guests can stay in your hotel. WP Hotelier already provides a setting for that in the core free version. But the one included in the core is a global setting that affects all your rooms.

With this extension, you can set the minimum and maximum nights per room (standard rooms) or per rate (variable rooms). This gives you even more granular control over the room management. And allows you to set specific policies for a particular room or rate.

For example, you may offer a discounted price for long term stays.
