Listing Page Improved

One of the most requested features from our customers was the ability to show the queried room when using the datepicker calendar on the room page. That’s exactly what Easy WP Hotelier 1.5.0 does. Using the calendar on a room page will show that room (if available) at the top of the listing page. As well as the other available rooms at the bottom. A message about the availability (or not) of that particular room will appear at the top.

Redirect To Booking Page After Book Now

Another requested feature was the ability to redirect the user immediately to the booking page after clicking on the “Book Now” button. This is specially useful for websites that have only room. Enabling this option guests will be redirected to the booking page after one click, speeding up the booking process. Another setting allows you to wait for the quantity selection, and then redirect the user.

Week Bookings

A new extension is now available: Week Bookings. This new extension allows checkins and checkouts on specific days only. And introduces a new price option for your rooms: Week Price.

But what if you just want a fixed deposit?

Flat Deposit at the rescue!

With the Flat Deposit extension for Easy WP Hotelier you will have the possibility to require a fixed price (flat rate) regardless of the booked nights. For example, let’s say you have a room in your hotel that has a fixed cost of $150.00 per night. You can use the Flat Deposit extension to require a deposit of $75.00 to confirm the reservation.

Another example. You have a room rate with a discounted price (maybe a special offer?) that requires a minimum stay of 3 nights (possible with the Minimum/Maximum Nights extension). $100.00 per night (total $300.00). You can use Flat Deposit to require a deposit of $100.00 (first night).

What is iCal?

iCalendar or iCal is a computer file format designed to transmit calendar-based data, like upcoming meeting dates, bookings, important reminders, etc. iCal is supported by a variety number of products and booking platforms including Airbnb, HomeAway and Google Calendar. It is now the standard in the hospitality industry, as a way to sync booking calendars between channel managers.

How it works?

iCalendar Importer/Exporter works in two ways:

1. You can import an .ics file from an external service for each room. This will sync external reservations for that room. Every hour automatically.
2. You can export the calendar of the reservations made at your website to an external service like Google Calendar. iCalendar Importer/Exporter automatically generates an iCal file for every room. You can use that link in the appropriate section of the app/website you want to export the calendar to.

Starting from now (11 June 2017) the Stripe Payment Gateway and the Disable Dates extensions will be available as premium addons on the Easy WP Hotelier website only. This means that those extensions will not be included anymore in my themes sold on Themeforest. You will need to buy a separate license to use them.

What will happen to Themeforest users who already have those extensions?

Well… nothing really. If you purchased any of the themes above before 11 June 2017, you can continue to use the Stripe Payment Gateway and the Disable Dates extensions included in the theme’s package for free (but please note that you will not receive future updates).

What is Easy WP Hotelier?

Easy WP Hotelier is a booking plugin for WordPress, built specifically for hotels, B&Bs, etc. Easy WP Hotelier allows you to manage hotel reservations inside your WordPress dashboard, accept payments online, manage room’s amenities, receive email notifications and so on. Easy WP Hotelier it’s an all-in-one booking system for WordPress.

Premium extensions and themes

Starting from now, efforts will focus on making the core plugin better as well as developing specific premium extensions (and themes) for Easy WP Hotelier. Three extensions for Easy WP Hotelier are already available, visit the extensions page for more info.

What’s next?

Two things have priority:

1. Release Easy WP Hotelier on WordPress.org – Done, plugin page here
2. Create a public repository on Github – The repository is now available here: Easy WP Hotelier repository

Hopefully it should be done in a couple of weeks.
